Family Shark Adventure Charter

Our most popular outing for families, this is an inshore adventure targeting primarily sharks (although we do often catch other fish) and is tailored to the group on board.

A Live Oac classic, and one of our most popular family outings in the warmer months! This trip is tailored to the group on board. Relax and enjoy some casual family fishing for smaller coastal shark species like Black Tips, Atlantic Sharpnose, Bonnetheads (a species of hammerhead shark), and more. Offered during the warmer months, approx. April through September when we have the best shot at finding these critters. We also have a chance at seeing other ‘non-shark’ fish on this trip as well, and the occasional “monster” shark, too!

As a shorter 3hr charter, this is a good choice for families with younger anglers with shorter attention spans, or even for adult groups that just want a brief outing. We’ll focus on nearby inshore waters, places like the salt marsh tidal creeks, rivers, and sounds (“bays”), to maximize our fishing time. Or choose the 4hr version if you want more fishing time or the opportunity to travel a bit further.

The boat itself, immediately sets this trip apart from other charter companies. The Freeman 29 is renowned for its near perfect size and shape (a Freeman Boatworks High Performance Catamaran), which allows it to glide across choppy water as if it’s glass calm. She’s got more than enough space, feeling more like a 34′ traditional monohull, so the family has plenty of room on board and won’t feel crowded.. The gunwales (a boat’s “side walls”) are nice and high, so you don’t have to worry about your little “scrambler” inadvertently going for a swim. You’ll feel nice and secure aboard this high-end craft. The quality and workmanship of this custom built boat will speak for itself.
