Crab’s Shack, everyone agrees, is an awesome family Beach House. (For more pictures, please visit our website under crabsshack.) Two of the best features are the proximity to the beach and the private dock on the creek. If you are looking for a close and easy walk to the beach paired with the ability to keep your own boat or just to be able to fish and crab off of a dock, Crab’s Shack would be perfect for you! For the beach lovers, there are no sand dunes to cross. The ramp access to the beautiful and uncrowded beach is directly across the street from the end of the driveway. So close! The dock is located on the creek behind the house. It features a floating dock, fish cleaning table, bench seating, and crab traps for your use. Enjoy sunrises on the beach and sunsets on the dock!

Crab’s Shack is a four-bedroom, three-bath home. It comfortably accommodates up to 13 people. The upstairs (main) area of the home sleeps six, while the ground level area sleeps seven. There is a separate entrance to the ground level area which is perfect for those late-night people or for use as a second family living space. (Please note: the lower floor is not connected to the main level of the house.) On the main floor, there are 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed and an attached, full, private bath. Bedroom 2 has two twin beds while Bedroom 3 has a queen bed. Connecting Bedrooms 2 and 3 is a jack-and-jill bath which includes a double sink and a private bathroom/tub/shower room. In the living area of the main floor you will find the kitchen, dining area, family room and a second breakfast/game table. The living space is large, open and bright with plenty of comfortable seating. It is the perfect place for everyone to gather for meals, TV and socializing. There is also a screened porch with seating off the back of the main family room and a front deck with lounge chairs for those who wish to enjoy the sun from the comforts of home.

The main entrance to the ground level living area is under the carport. The ground level offers a second family room with TV, a small breakfast table, full refrigerator (perfect for overflow from upstairs) and a queen size sleeper sofa. The downstairs bedroom features a double bed plus a bunk bed with a double lower bunk and single upper bunk. This level has a double vanity with separate private bathroom/tub/shower room. The living area opens onto a covered patio seating area with a grill and picnic table. There are convenient back steps which lead up to the screened porch above.

Another great feature on the lower floor is the pair of outdoor (but private!) showers located under the front deck. This is the perfect area to wash off the sand and salt water when you come up from the beach. This home offers high speed internet, two flat screen televisions (one in the main family room and one in the lower floor family room), and a Bluetooth Speaker.

Located on the southern part of Fripp Island, Crab’s Shack is convenient to the Beach Club, Cabana Club, Ocean Creek Golf Course & the Marina. With a golf cart, you can easily get anywhere your heart desires!

Please Note: Your weekly booking does NOT include Amenity Cards which are required by the Fripp Island Resort for all persons 13 yrs and older. Pricing for the amenity cards are listed on our Rental Agreement and, if desired, we can make arrangements for the cards. Our Rental Agreement also lists company names and phone numbers for your convenience should you wish to rent a golf cart.
